# How do I replace a Novoporte control unit?

The complete installation of a Novoporte opener, step by step on video

This tutorial covers fitting the motor on the door's side rail through to programming the control unit.
Note: fitting and programming the Novoporte 5 (speed) is identical to the Novoporte 4 shown in the video.

Not sure what's causing the fault before replacing the control unit? See "My opener isn't working any more: what should I check?".
