# What information should I send you to identify my part?

Most parts don't carry a visible reference. Here are the few details that let us find the right part.
On a garage door, very few parts display a clear reference. To guide you accurately, we rely on a few simple pieces of information — **the more you give us, the faster the answer.**

### The key details
* The **make and model** of your door
* The **type of part**: spring, opener, remote control, seal, lock, roller, panel…
* The **dimensions**, where possible
* **Photos**

### The most useful photos
* An **overall view of the door, taken from inside**
* A **close-up of the part** in question
* The door's **label or plate**, if visible
