My door is heavy, jams or won't go up any more: what are the possible causes?

A door that becomes hard to operate almost always has the same cause: the weight-counterbalance system.
The most common causes:

  • Broken or worn-out spring — the most common cause.
  • Rollers that no longer turn or are broken — causing friction points.

Want to identify the exact cause? Describe the symptoms to us (when it jams, noise, which side is affected) with photos or short videos: we'll work together to find the cause of the fault.
