My door stops partway through its travel: adjusting the limit settings
Is your door no longer closing, or reopening on its own? The limit settings and force-learning setup are often the cause. Especially if parts have been changed on the door (springs in particular).
The limit settings define the upper and lower stop positions of your motorised door. Poor adjustment causes premature stopping or reopening.
The signs that point to the limit settings: the door always stops at the same spot, before reaching its full position. Each opener has its own adjustment procedure, generally accessible via a button or a menu on the motor housing.
Manufacturer instructions are generally available online.
You'll find that most of the instructions for the motors we distribute are available on our site. If you bought your opener from us, we can assist you remotely.
⚠️ Poor adjustment can strain the motor or mechanism on every cycle, which speeds up wear on the other parts.
